an update

Charlotte's friends and family are all ok.  We're getting back to business here and trying to make it through the week.  It's been snowing and temps are now in the teens.  And, in a lovely twist of fate... last night all of our power outlets stopped working except for the internet one.  So we have no hot water, no heat, no tv, no washing machine, no way to charge our phones in the bedroom etc.  I have to call the landlord and pray that it's an easy fix.  Ha, it's amazing how dependent we are in those little holes in the wall...
